Wow...Cambodia is really different! From the airport, we took a tuk-tuk ride (open air taxi) to our guesthouse. It's crazy here. People are everywhere and they kinda do what they want. They drive on all sides of the road and kids are just running around barefooted with no supervision. It's really fascinating! It's really hot, very humid...my hair looks lovely!
So from our guesthouse, we took a tuk-tuk to the Russian Market. It's a huge market, lots of people selling lots of stuff! Bargains for sure! I got me a pair of Puma shoes for 12 bucks! It was fun! We ate lunch at this really cool open air restaurant where you take off your shoes and sit on pillows at a low table. The food was soo yummy! The sticky rice was the best!
We went back to our guesthouse to check in! This place is so nice! We have our own personal swimming pool on our back patio! Oh yea! We sat down on the bed and before we knew it, we woke up and it was dark outside! We slept like 4 hours! We got up, went into town to the river front. There are plenty of bars, restuarants and nite life...I guess thats what they call it. We went in and out of a few different local bars. Jordan had some Angkor beer and I had some yummy coffee! Cambodian children came up to us all night....they were so cute! I wanted to take them home with me. They spoke great English and talked with us for a little while. They tried to sell us things....I bought some post cards from them, cause I felt so bad for them! We ended our long day with a relaxing one hour foot and shoulder masssage....all for 7 bucks! It was fabulous.
